Buying guide

How to buy

Collecting Historical Paper Money in six simple steps.

  1. 1

    Browse

Open the Marketplace and search by country, Pick number or denomination. Use region, collection and grade filters to narrow the list.

  2. 2

    Check the grade

Each note shows its condition grade on the 70-point scale, from well-worn (VG-8) to perfect uncirculated (Gem UNC 66+).

  3. 3

    Inspect the photos

Tap a photo to view the front and back. Zoom in to check corners, folds and signatures.

  4. 4

    Verify certificates

Notes graded by PMG or PCGS show a verify link so you can confirm the certificate on the grader's own site.

  5. 5

    Send your request

Add notes to your basket, enter your name and email, and send. A PDF order sheet downloads for your records — no account or card needed.

  6. 6

    Collect in person

The dealer confirms your notes and you collect and pay in person, for example at a banknote show.
